Getting to the Canadian Rockies is part of the adventure. There are few things more spectacular than venturing through the foothills to see the horizon lined with the majestic Rocky Mountains. Jasper National Park and the town of Jasper are easily accessed from Edmonton, Calgary, Banff, Lake Louise, and British Columbia.
Jasper National Park is situated 370 kilometers (192 mi) west of Edmonton, 404 kilometers (256 mi) northwest of Calgary and 805 km (500 mi) northeast of Vancouver.
MARMOT BASIN SKI SHUTTLE
The Daily Shuttle Service between Jasper and Marmot Basin runs every day of the season. Tickets can be purchased for $7.00 at the Front Desk. How convenient! The ski shuttle bus to Marmot Basin stops in front of the Mount Robson Inn at 8:25 am, 9:55 am and 12:10 pm daily.
Edmonton International Airport (YEG) is the closest and most direct way to get to Jasper National Park. If you are wishing to visit Lake Louise first, you will want to fly into Calgary. The Mount Robson Inn is partnered with Brewster Travel Canada and SunDog Tours for ground transportation by shuttle.
Renting a car provides you with great flexibility to road trip and enjoy the many scenic drives in and around Jasper National Park and the Icefields Parkway. Rental car agencies are located in Jasper as follows:
