Jasper Calendar Of Events Jasper Rotary Club Lobsterfest. June 2008 Date TBA. The Jasper Rotary Club's annual fundraiser for seafood lovers! Held at the Jasper Activity Centre, this is a savoury affair not to be missed. Dinner and dance. Tickets available at Jasper Home Hardware, Jasper Rock and Jade, and Papa George's Restaurant. Canada Day Celebration July 1, 2008. Celebrate Canada Day in Jasper National Park. There are many great events including a pancake breakfat, the Parade, and the Firewaorks. Bring the family and come and celebrate the birthday of our Nation! Parks Day. July 2008 Date TBA. Brought to you by the Friends of Jasper, Parks Day celebrates the heritage and history of Jasper National Park. Activities include interpretive programs, demonstrations, and guided hikes. Fun for all ages! Jasper Heritage Folk Festival. July 2008 Dates TBA. The Jasper Heritage Folk Festival is in the suberb setting of a world Heritage Site and offers an unparalleled backdrop to enjoy an extravaganza of music fair. Events include bullriding, bareback and saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, calf roping, barrel racing and more! Miette Hot Springs Grand Reopening. August 29, 2007. Visitors are invited to rediscover one of Jasper National Park's first attractions and celebrate the grand opening of the newly renovated facilty. Don't miss Jasper National Park's big birthday party; a weekend jampacked with events and activities honouring Jasper's last 100 years.Pomp, ceremony, live web-casting, special first nations and Metis programming, storytelling, guided hikes, brochure and book launches, re-ensctments, wildlife festival, live music, nature displays, historic walks in the past, picnics, reunions, cultural photo and historical exhibits, documentary showings, pancake breakfast, art shows, mural unveiling, a centennial play AND MORE! This "migrating" art show is designed to honour Jasper National Park and its natural biodiversity, as well as educate Canadians about national parks and the need to keep them wild.
