Jasper National Park has been deemed as the World’s Largest Dark Sky Preserve (accessible) and this year we celebrate in a big way!  Already boasting an astronomy all-star lineup, the fifth annual Jasper Dark Sky Festival will see Col. Chris Hadfield, Canada’s first astronaut to walk in space, host an event on Friday, October 23rd.  Other special events include Mythbusters – Night of Mythbusting & Science, VIP StarGazing and Symphony under the Stars.  Visitors will also be able to take a unique opportunity to meet and mingle with Hadfield during various events taking place over the course of the Festival.
